The story of my Russian grandfather: Nicola’s Leg (2017)
My first short story collection, “Twisted Reflections” (2016)
I have a thing for mermaids. Always have. Hence the term Sirène de la Mer. I sometimes joke and say, “I was a mermaid in another life,” except I’m not sure it’s just a joke…
With that said, I’m Natacha and I make my abode in the San Francisco Bay… Area 😉 I intend to use this space to indulge in one of my favorite activities: writing. I’ve been doing so since I was a child; keeping numerous diaries and writing my first poem at 7 years of age (in French). I write poetry, short stories and am currently at work on my historical fiction novel set in pre-Islamic Arabia. My writing tends to veer towards historical fiction and creative nonfiction, as highlighted by the variety of influences; namely spirituality, the paranormal, travels, art and history. Being that I feel all stories involve love in some form, it goes without saying that my work includes doses of romance as well.
Aside from the fact that I love the gift of life and all it has to offer, I presume some of my interests are fueled by my own varied background. I’m a native French speaker; Belgian born & raised. German, Russian & Christian Palestinian heritage; strongly Jesus-inclined (you can thank Jerusalem for that ;)).
In addition to living in Brussels, Belgium, I’ve also studied abroad in Paris, France and spent extended time in Jerusalem. Although far from comprehensive (is any blog, really?), I blogged about some of my Easter in Jerusalem experiences here.
Aside from Jesus & spirituality, I’m proudly addicted to books, chocolate, music, traveling, art (painting/drawing), make-up art, nail art, tea, falafel, maqloobeh, and of course… lebneh. ❤ + 🙂
