I have a thing for mermaids. Always have. Hence the term Sirène de la Mer. I sometimes joke and say, “I was a mermaid in another life,” except I’m not sure it’s just a joke…
With that said, I’m Natacha. I initially intended to use this space to indulge in one of my favorite activities: writing, but as posts will show, I’m not actively blogging at this time. Yet the writing goes on, as it has since I was a child; keeping numerous diaries and writing my first poem at 7 years of age (in French). The occasional poet, I have more historical fiction and short stories of various lengths forthcoming. Some of my inspirations include my Christian faith, the paranormal, travel, art, and history. Being that I feel all stories involve love in some form, it goes without saying that my work includes doses of romance as well.
Aside from the fact that I love the gift of life and all it has to offer, I presume some of my interests are fueled by my own varied background. I’m a native French speaker; Belgian born & raised, with German, Russian & Christian Palestinian heritage who follows Jesus +
In addition to living in Brussels, Belgium, I’ve also studied abroad in Paris, France and spent extended time in Jerusalem. Although far from comprehensive (is any blog, really?), I blogged about some of my 2011 Easter in Jerusalem experiences here.

You should read the book, “The Sacred Mushroom and the Cross”, an interesting linguistic exploration of Christianity and other near-eastern religions.
Thanks Andrew, I’ll add it to my to-read list! 🙂
On another note, seeing what the book is about, I’ll pass 🙂
